The pause on the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine should continue until more data is collected about its rare side effect, a federal advisory committee said Wednesday.
Within a week to 10 days, the committee with reconvene to look at additional data that's been collected.
This comes after six women came down with blood clots and low platelet counts within two weeks of receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. A man in an earlier clinical trial developed similar symptoms and an eighth case is under investigation. (USA Today)
