New Study Says Hot Dogs Can Shorten Your Life

According to a study from the University of Michigan, eating a hot dog could shorten your “healthy life” by 36 minutes. On the other hand, eating some nuts instead could extend your “healthy life” by 26 minutes. Researchers say “healthy living” refers to living life on your own terms – without being sick or frail. The study found that swapping just 10% of your daily intake of beef and processed meat with fruits, veggies, nuts and some seafood could extend your healthy living time by an extra 48 minutes every day.
