Invoca, a software company startup, is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. When the state’s lockdown started last March, staff went to remote working. That’s when the bees moved in.
When employees started to come back to work, managers knew they’d have some facility issues to clean up after the months away, but one left everyone buzzing.
Bees had made their home in the walls of the three story building. About 20-thousand bees. Super Bee, a company specializing in relocating honey bees, used thermal imaging to find the massive honeycomb that held 10 gallons of bees wax, pollen, and honey.
The queen and colony are now happily churning out honey in a natural environment.
