Anonymous Donor Donates $1 Million To High School For Scholarships

Student athletes at Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia, have extra motivation to get good grades -- because an anonymous donor set up a special scholarship for them.

For every semester these students earn straight A’s, they also earn $25,000 for college tuition.

Three years ago, this donor pledged $1 million -- and the students are definitely taking advantage of the opportunity.

Three students who are now in college earned between $150,000 and $200,000 while attending school at Centennial High.

Another student who recently graduated -- Evan Walker -- said the program definitely works, explaining that “money can really change the way you view life."

The kids work extra hard, knowing that their lives can change by achieving both in high school and with their next steps in college.

The school's athletic director, Jeff Burch, says the mystery man signing the checks wishes to remain anonymous -- and keep the focus on the kids taking advantage of the offer, and celebrating their success.
