Spoiler Alert! A leaked copy of the “Sex and The City” revival script reveals that Carrie and Mr. Big did NOT get their happily ever after. In fact, the two are in the midst of a bitter divorce. An insider says that “And Just Like That…” features Sarah Jessica Parker’s character bemoaning her split from the man played by Chris North to her friends.
To review, Carrie and Big got married in the first “Sex and The City” movie after getting cold feet. In the second film, she reunited with Aiden – played by John Corbett– for a brief romantic liaison in Abu Dhabi. When she confessed to Big, he gave her a black diamond ring to reconfirm their commitment.
A glimpse at the script for “And Just Like That…” suggests that Carrie – a podcast host in her 50s – and Big are fighting over finances. She’s having dinner with Stanford, Miranda, and Charlotte when she tells them she isn’t in a good place. “I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage,” she told them. “Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?” Fans will remember that Big was married twice before Carrie – to Barbara, a book publisher, and Natasha, a younger woman he met in Paris.
- ONE MORE THING! While Kim Cattrall isn’t coming back, HBO Max has announced that Nicole Ari Parker,Sarita Choudhury, and Karen Pittman have joined the cast. Parker will play a Park Avenue mother of three. Choudhury will play a single, self-made powerhouse Manhattan real estate broker. And Pittman will appear as a brilliant yet challenging Columbia Law professor. They join the previously announced Sara Ramirez, the nonbinary queer comedian who hosts the podcast that regularly features Carrie.
