Study Says Dogs Can Get ADHD And OCD Too

Spending more time with your dog can keep them mentally happy.

A new study says dogs can get ADHD just like people. Researchers at the University of Helsinki found that dogs can develop a condition similar to ADHD in humans. The scientists found that a dog's gender, age and breed can play a role in whether they develop the condition, as well as how much attention they get from their owner.

It’s no surprise that the more dogs are home alone and the less you interact with them, the more at risk they are for ADHD. During the research, it was discovered that dogs can also end up with OCD.

The head of the canine research group said their new findings can help to better identify and treat canine hyperactivity.
