Does your dog follow you wherever you go? Even to the bathroom?
Though we'd like to think that our furry family member is displaying their undying adoration toward us, the reason for their clingy-ness could mean something entirely different.
So why do they stick to us like velcro?
- Dogs are pack animals, and you, dear owner, are a member of their pack.
- Give your pet too many treats and you can be sure they'll follow you wherever you go.
- Some herding breeds naturally stick close to their humans.
- They are trying to tell you they are hungry, need to relieve themselves or want to play.
If your canine companion gets stressed when you leave them alone, it's time to visit the vet -- they may be suffering from separation anxiety. (Southern Living)
