Some enterprising folks at companies likeFresh Starts Registryare pushing the idea of a "divorce registry," where newly-single folks can go online and ask friends to help them out with stuff they may need when starting over. Olivia Dreizen Howell, who started the business, says she got the idea after her divorce, when she realized her ex still had the toothbrush holder they shared.
Ilyssa Panitz, host of “The Divorce Hour With Ilyssa Panitz” podcast, tells theNew York Postit's more about spirit than stuff. She says, “It’s all about new beginnings -- restarting and recharging. People are getting the [you-know-what] kicked out of them in their divorces – and they’re down.”
