Park Outside: Hyundai, Kia Recall Vehicles Due to Fire Risk

  • Hyundai and Kia have issued a recall on around 485,000 vehicles in the US due to an antilock brake module’s electrical short, warning drivers to park outside due to a fire risk!
  • The recalled vehicles include:
    • 2014 through 2016 Kia Sportage SUVs
    • 2016 through 2018 K900 sedans
    • 2016 through 2018 Santa Fe SUVs,
    • 2017 and 2018 Santa Fe Sports,
    • 2019 Santa Fe XLs
    • 2014 through 2015 Tucson SUVs.
  • Eleven fire vehicles have been reported in the US.
  • Dealers are more than happy to replace your vehicle’s fuse. Hyundai will also inspect the control modules and replace them if needed.
