Most people go into a marriage hoping and expecting it to last forever. But of course, that doesn’t always happen and a lot of marriages end in divorce. There are a lot of reasons marriages don’t work out, and a new report suggests where you live could be one of them.

Now a new 24/7 Wall Street report reveals the Worst State in America to be Married in. The list is based on data from a study by photo lab Printique.

They looked at things like yearly divorces per 1,000 people, duration of current marriages and the number of people never married per 1,000.

The data finds that 20.1 years is the current average duration of a marriage, with 7.35 divorces in the past year per 1,000 people, and with never marrieds coming out to 339.8 per 1,000 people.

Overall, Nevada is the worst state to be married, with the average duration of a marriage just 17.4 years, and 9.39 divorces per 1,000 people.
