Over 2.9M Ford Vehicles Recalled Due To Risk Of Roll Away Crashes

  • Ford is recalling 2.9 million US vehicles due to the possibility of them rolling away even when they are in the "park" position.
  • Recalled vehicles include Ford’s 2013-2018 C-Max, 2015-2018 Edge, 2013-2019 Escape, 2013-2016 Fusion and 2013-2021 Transit Connect models.
  • Degraded bushing in the shift cables could cause the transmission to move into park. Ford said it could happen even when the car's dash reads that the vehicle is in "park."
  • Recall letters will be mailed out June 27th or you can see if your car is affected by running its VIN through NHTSA.gov.
  • Own one of these recalled vehicles? You can get it serviced and any parts replaced for free at a Ford or Lincoln dealer.
