National Forests In New Mexico To Ease Fire Restrictions Today

Several of the state’s national forests announced Thursday they will be easing fire restrictions at the end of the week.

Cibola, Santa Fe, Lincoln and Carson national forests will ease restrictions beginning 8 a.m. Friday, June 24.

Additionally, Valles Caldera National Preserve and Bandelier National Monument will also ease restrictions, beginning 9 a.m. Friday.

Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands

The Sandia, Mountainair and Mt. Taylor Ranger Districts will all reopen.

Stage two fire restrictions will be lifted at that time for the Magdalena, Kiowa/Rita-Blanca and Black Kettle Ranger Districts.
