Doing This Can Save Your Houseplants!

Do you want to have a green thumb but it seems like your houseplants hate you? Here's a tip: Don't use cold water. In fact, you shouldn't use hot water, either.

Cold water can "shock" the roots of the plant and stunt their growth, and hot water can lead to issues, too. Using lukewarm water is the best option because it's most similar to what the plants would be getting if in their natural habitat. If you really want to go over the top, try reusing rain water from outside for natural vitamins from the air that your plants will love.

Plant experts suggest leaving water in a watering can for several days so it has time to adapt to room temperature. Then, on watering day, dole it out all over your plants -- but be careful not to over-water!
