A study found that 39% of people would forgive a partner for cheating if that partner "showered them with lavish gifts".The lavish gifts cheating partners would need to give most were, in order of preference, a new phone, followed by a vacation, a new laptop, designer jewelry, designer clothing, and a new car.32% polled could not be "bought", saying there's nothing a cheating partner could do to win them back.Another 32% of those polled said they might forgive their cheating partner "depending on the situation".
