Netflix will not charge you for sharing passwords just yet -- though eventually it’s going to happen. Netflix estimates 100 million people stream without paying.
Last week’s leak of new password rules was meant for only three countries -- Chile, Costa Rica and Peru. Accounts from those three nations are charged extra for streaming outside their home Wi-Fi.
A statement from Netflix said, (quote) “For a brief time, a help center article containing information that is only applicable to Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru, went live in other countries. We have since updated it.” (Apple Insider)
