Experts Say Doing This To Your Bedroom Will Help You Sleep

If there’s one place you really should declutter, it’s your bedroom. Sleep expert and ear, nose, and throat surgeon Dr. Mike Dilkes says bedrooms should be “stark and bare” to create the best environment for sleep. Dr. Dilkes recommends removing unnecessary distractions to get a better night’s sleep. “If you go to bed in a room with TVs and coffee machines and other distractions, then you just don’t sleep as well as if your bedroom is stark, bare and just has a bed.” He also advocates not spending time in the bedroom during the day. “I’ve found that not living half your life in there and only using it for sleeping can be a real help,” he said.
