Americans Suffering From "Tipping" Burnout

A survey from Bankrate is reiterating something we already know -- Americans are tired of tipping. Nowadays, you can hardly go anywhere or buy anything without being prompted by a screen asking you to select a tip for the worker who helped you. There are even some self-checkout registers that will prompt customers for a tip! This phenomenon is called "tip creep" by the experts who are studying consumers' reactions.

All of these tipping requests are making Americans annoyed at the idea of tipping in general. Some workers are making $5 an hour and depending on those tips, while others are making $15 an hour and still hoping for the tips to take their paychecks a bit higher.
