New App Can Help You Find Your New BFF

Bumble has just announced that they’re releasing a new app just for finding besties. Back in 2016, the dating app where women message first launched BFF mode in their main app and now people in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the Philippines, the U.K. and the U.S. will have the option of downloading “Bumble for Friends” to help search for platonic pals.

It works the same way as the Bumble dating app, with users creating a profile showing their interests and what kind of friends they’re looking for. Bumble says users will be able to easily port their profile from the dating app to Bumble for Friends. Once you set yours up, you can swipe through profiles to find profiles with similar interests and match with potential friends.

The new app is free, with in-app purchases for premium membership plans that include features like unlimited swipes, backtracking left swipes, advanced filters, incognito mode, super swipes and boosts to help you get noticed. One complaint a lot of users who were testing Bumble for Friends had is that it limits friendships to people who share the same gender, but Bumble says it’s starting with “this experience as we continue to evaluate further product changes, including additional ways for our members to connect with any type of friend.”
