The field of 32 teams in the FIFA Women’s World Cup has been cut in half. Tomorrow begins the knockout round, with one notable country absent from the festivities. Thursday morning’s 1-1 tie between South Korea and Germany gave the Germans a one-way ticket out of the tournament. This one was especially shocking considering that the German team, going into the World Cup, had odds of +650 to win it all…the third-best odds of all 32 teams.
