A new fast-food survey is looking at the meat and only the meat. Fans were asked to vote on their favorite plain fast-food burgers, only taking the taste and quality of the actual burger patties into account rather than the bun, cheese, and toppings. Shake Shack ended up at the top of the list followed by Culver's and Five Guys. Wendy's and In-N-Out rounded out the top five with Smashburger, McDonald's and Burger King finishing up the rankings. The idea for the vote came from the head writer for "The Simpsons," Bill Oakley. Oakley has his own club called "The Steamed Hams Society,” where food lovers can discuss food news, and share opinions about the things they eat.
