Federal Student Loan Payments Resume

Federal student loan payments are resuming this month, for the first time in three years.

Payments and interest were first suspended in March of 2020 due to the pandemic.

People who still owe on their student loans can log in to their account at StudentAid.gov to check their balance, payment amount, and who their current loan servicer is.

A 12-month grace period is available for borrowers who struggle to make their initial payments.
