FDA Warns Consumers to Stop Using 26 Eye Drop Products

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued another warning for consumers to halt the use of 26 specific eye drop products. The six brands impacted by this warning include CVS Heath, Leader (Cardinal Health), Rugby (Cardinal Health), Rite Aid, Target Up&Up and Velocity Pharma. Use of these products has the potential risk of eye infections that may cause vision loss or blindness. The FDA noted their warning decision came “after agency investigators found unsanitary conditions in the manufacturing facility and positive bacterial test results from environmental sampling of critical drug production areas in the facility. A full list of products can be found in the Drug Safety and Availability section of the FDA’s website.
