Americans take their barbecue seriously and while everyone has their own idea about which is best, a new report reveals which cities should be at the top of your BBQ bucket list. LawnStarter’s list of the best barbecue cities in the U.S. in 2024 has just come out.
- This year they expanded the rankings to the 500 biggest U.S. cities, comparing them on 20 total metrics in five categories.
- Cities were rated on access to barbecue vendors and smokehouses, consumer ratings, competition awards, and the number of barbecue festivals.
- Once again, Kansas City, Missouri, tops the list as the best BBQ city, coming in first for barbecue festivals, elite BBQ memberships, and award-winning cooking teams.
- Another Missouri city, St. Louis, is sixth, and the other Kansas City, the one in Kansas, is fourth overall.
