You Can Stay At The Stanley Hotel With A Scary Movie Theme

The Blumhouse production company that made horror films like The Purge and Happy Death Day are taking the haunted house experience to the next level.

For the weekend of October 18th, Blumhouse and Peacock are offering rooms at Colorado’s Stanley Hotel. The horror classic The Shining written by Stephen King and adapted by director Stanley Kubrick was inspired by the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.

The immersive weekend is dubbed “Overnightmare.” The hotel rooms are decorated in the theme of Blumhouse films: Insidious, The Purge, Happy Death Day and Freaky. Things get scary each night. Guests pick their “fear threshold” ahead of personalized activities based on the Blumhouse horror movies. Only the most resilient should select the after-dark activities based on Insidious and The Purge.  (Variety)

Tickets and details can be found on the Stanley Hotel’s website.
