The long-rumored most depressing day of the year is almost here. Blue Monday generally occurs every third Monday in January. This year that will be on January 19th. It's a time when people are starting to feel sad due to broken New Year's resolutions, the after Christmas financial stress and winter weather. The theory came from a marketing campaign developed by a UK psychologist for a travel company 20 years ago. Here is how to cope if Blue Monday is a thing for you:

  • Be physically active
  • Get out in the daylight
  • Eat healthily (again)
  • Share your experiences with others
  • Establish healthier habits
