Tow truck driver killed, State Police Officer injured in I-40 crash

It has been confirmed  tow truck driver Pat Sisneros, was killed and a State Police officer was injured in a pair or crashes on EB I-40 today.

All lanes of eastbound I-40 from Coors to 12th Street remain closed as investigators with the New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction team investigate the crash.

#NMSP All lanes on I40 Eastbound MM 157 are closed due to a motor vehicle accident involving a Semi-Truck. Traffic is being diverted off at Rio Grande BLVD. The area road condition is a sheet of ice. Please avoid the are and expect delays.

According to State Police, a semi-truck crashed into a State Police vehicle just before 1 a.m. Police say Pat Sisneros stopped to help the officer when another semi collided into Sisneros' tow truck, killing him.

Sisneros worked for Madrid Towing.
