The Only State That Has Not Sent A Woman To Congress

What's the only state never to send a woman to Congress? Vermont, believe it or not. The Boston Globe reports that this may surprise many people because "Vermont has a reputation as a liberal wonderland. It is the land of socialist Bernie Sanders and progressive Howard Dean. It was the first state to OK same-sex civil unions. It has long allowed legal recreational use of marijuana." Not only has Vermont never sent a woman to D.C., as The Globe notes, it's also "the only state that has only ever elected white men to Congress."
