It's official, Ikea has a U.S. release date for their reasonably priced smart blinds.
According to a Fast Company report, Ikea plans to release the smart blinds on April 1st.
Ikea will sell its Fyrtur blackout shades between $113 and $181 with blind sizes ranging from the width of your average room window, all the way up to 76.8 inches wide.
Internet-controlled automated blinds have normally ranged anywhere from $300-500 so Ikea's price point is not too bad.
The smart blinds will support Alexa, HomeKit, and Google Assistant and will also come with a remote control and a rechargeable battery pack.
I don't know about you but I CAN'T wait to say, "Alexa open the blinds."
Sounds like a trip to Denver is in Order...
