Starbucks Offering Free Coffee to First Responders, Healthcare Workers

In an effort to thank first responders and healthcare workers for going the extra mile during the coronavirus pandemic, Starbucks is giving them free coffee.

In an announcement made Wednesday, Starbucks officials said emergency personnel can receive tall coffees at no charge simply by identifying themselves to franchise employees. Those eligible for the freebie include police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses and hospital staff members, a company rep says.

The promotion is already underway and will run through May 3rd, according to Starbucks officials.
