Jessie and Slater are back at Bayside High!

Original cast membersMario LopezandElizabeth Berkleyboth make appearances in the first teaser trailer for Peacock's upcomingSaved by the Bellreboot. Reprising their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano in the short clip, the alums return to their old stomping grounds of Bayside High — and things look drastically different than before.

"Remember how much fun high school used to be?" Slater asks Jesse, to which she replies, “Can you believe that was, like, 30 years ago?”

In the revival teaser finds Lopez’s Slater returning as the new gym teacher of Bayside High. There, we’re also introduced a number of new faces including the handsome and charming Mac Morris, the privileged child of Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Amber Thiessen) and Governor Zack Morris (reprised byMark-Paul Gosselaar), and Jamie Spano, Jessie’s sensitive son who is the captain of the Bayside football team.

"When I was in high school, I constantly used to fight with my best friend over a hot girl," Slater recalls in the video, before telling Mac, "Oh, it was actually your dad, over your mom!"

"Then I just found another girl I really liked and started hooking up with her instead," he adds. "Oh wait, that was your mom!" he tells Jamie.

According to reports, the premise for the reboot will find California Gov. Morris embroiled in controversy after closing down low-income schools at the suggesting that students impacted integrate into other top-level schools in the school. As a result, tensions rise between the preppy Bayside kids and a new wave of students who give them an overdue reality check.

As yet, no premiere date has been set for theSaved by the Bellreboot — though it was initially slated to premiere in 2020 before production was halted due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
