Your Summer Vacation May Be More Expensive!

People want to travel again. Hotels, airlines, and fuel companies know this.

CNBC reports that airfare and hotel prices are going up after a year where many folks stayed at home because of the pandemic.

Specifically, US airfares are up nine percent since April 1st. International fares have gone up by 17 percent.

The room rates and plane tickets are still lower on average than this time in 2019. The reason? Business travel is still struggling. The lack of people hitting the road for business is not expected to rebound quickly.

Gas prices are also up to the highest levels since 2014. With campsites, theme parks, and national parks reopening, Americans want to get out.
