Comic-Con Wrap: Marvel's "Wakanda Forever" Trailer, Announces New Films

As Comic-Con San Diego wrapped last night, there was a lot to unpack from the four-day panel-fest. The biggest news? The much-anticipated “Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” - it's set to arrive on the silver screen November 11th. “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler honored the late Chadwick Boseman, while being accompanied by an African musical troupe before unveiling the previously unseen “Black Panther 2” trailerWhat else was learned over the weekend:

  • Marvel President Kevin Feige announced upcoming MCU projects including:
    • “Captain America: New World Order” (May 3, 2024),
    • “Thunderbolts” (July 26, 2023),
    • “Fantastic Four” (Nov. 8, 2024),
    • “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” (May 2, 2025)
    • ...and “Avengers: Secret Wars” (Nov. 7, 2025).
  • “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn unveiled the trailer for the third and final “Guardians” movie. In the trailer, stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana are back, and Will Poulter is 'in' as Adam Warlock...there's even a glimpse of baby Rocket. Because it hasn't been released, we can just tell you the setup is Quill has lost his love, Gamora - and she's now the head of the crew. Huh? Remember - in "Avengers: Endgame," the Gamora Quill loved was sacrificed by Thanos to get the Soul Stone. THIS Gamora never became a member of the Guardians or fell in love with Star-Lord.
  • Zachary Levi unveiled a new “Shazam 2” trailer, and DC brought most of the cast for "Shazam 2" and "Black Adam" in to talk about those two movies. Not much DC news was forthcoming, however, presumably because DC's "Fandome" is still presumed to be happening, and they are saving their big news for that.
  • But that's not all. MCU fans also have an array of flicks to look forward to:
    • "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" - Feb 17, 2023
    • "Secret Invasion" - 2023
    • "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" - May 6, 2023
    • "Echo" - Summer 2023
    • "The Marvels: July 28, 2023
    • "Blade: Nov 3, 2023
    • "Ironheart: Fall 2023
    • "Agatha Coven of Chaos: Winter 2023/24
    • "Daredevil: Born Again: Spring 2024
    • "Captain America: New World Order May 3, 2024
    • "Thunderbolts: July 26, 2024
    • "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty - May 2, 2025.
    • "Avengers: Secret War - November 7, 2025.
