Ideas For Staying Moving During The Cold Winter Months

If you have a tough time walking or getting in your exercise during fall or winter because of the cold temps, it’s time to move it indoors! The “Huffington Post” asked experts what the best indoor activities are for getting your steps in are. Here’s what they suggest:

  • Find a loop to walk in your house. Make sure there aren’t any obstacles that will make you pause
  • If you live in a home with stairs, use them but don’t overdo it
  • Do some outdoor chores like raking leaves or shoveling snow
  • Go to a mall or grocery store and walk the outside aisles, then every other aisle
  • Have a solo dance party. Crank up the music and move!
  • Set reminders for your movement
  • if you can, try walking outside
