When you think of places people dream of living in, cities like New York or Miami may come to mind. But it turns out, those aren’t the spots attracting the most new residents. According to a new report, there are other cities growing at big rates and they may not be the ones you expect.
The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, a business policy think tank, has just come out with their list of the fastest growing cities in America. They ranked cities based on factors including population growth, employment rates, housing costs and economic output.
Their list ranks the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes other cities like San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Jose and Palo Alto, as the fastest growing city. Silicon Valley and the tech hub has seen a decline in the housing market, but still lands the top spot with 4.8% GDP growth in 2022.
