Everyone knows about Cinco de Mayo on May 5th, but did you know that just a few days later, on May 7th, it’s World Naked Gardening Day? Apparently there are so many people who like to work in their yards in their birthday suits that there’s a whole day to celebrate it! Of course, some locations are better suited to this hobby than others and a new report reveals where those are.
Lawnstarter has just come out with their list of 2023’s Best Cities for Naked Gardening.
- They compared the 200 biggest cities in the U.S. on factors including nudist population size, indecent exposure laws, weather forecasts, sex offender listings and even access to waxing salons.
- Coming in first is Miami, Florida, which is number one for naked gardener-friendliness.
- Fun facts from the report include:
- Orlando, Florida has the most nudists per 100-thousand residents, while Sioux Falls, South Dakota has the fewest.
- New York City has the highest Google search interest for “nudist” and “World Naked Gardening” over the last 12 months. It’s also the most urban gardener-friendly city.
- There’s a four-way tie for the least severe penalties for state public nudity violations between Lincoln, Nebraska; Omaha, Nebraska; Bridgeport, Connecticut and Honolulu, Hawaii.
