Army Prepares For A Huge Trinity Site Crowd Thanks To “Oppenheimer”

"Oppenheimer" is leading to more than just busy movie theaters. The U.S. Army will host an open house of the New Mexico Trinity Site in October and its warning about huge crowds due to the release of Christopher Nolan's latest film. The open house on White Sands Missile Range will be held October 21st and the Army says if visitors aren't among the first five-thousand in line then they may not get through the gates before the site closes. The Army hosts visits to the site of the first atomic bomb test twice a year. The next one after October is scheduled for April 6th, 2024. You can get details of the open house here. If you’re thinking about checking out the site outside of the open house hours, you’ll no doubt be met by and turned back by the military
