- To come up with their list, WalletHub compares 182 U.S. cities on 31 key factors related to job-market strength.
- They rate each city on everything from average starting salary to housing affordability to employment growth.
- So where is the best place in the country to find a job in 2024? Scottsdale, Arizona, tops the list, coming in first in the job market category.
- Madison, Wisconsin, 19th overall, is number one in the socio-economic category.
- As for the worst city to find a job this year, according to WalletHub, it’s Newark, New Jersey, which comes in second to last for job market rank and near the bottom for socio-economic rank.
