MCDONALD’S ANNOUNCES THE ANNUAL RETURN OF ITS SHAMROCK SHAKE

McDonald’s has just announced the annual return of their popular Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry and they’re here earlier than usual. The past couple of years had the items returning on February 20 and February 15, so this could be a push to start St. Patrick’s Day celebrations early.

The Shamrock Shake features vanilla soft serve ice cream with mint syrup and a whipped topping and the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry has the same flavors with a thicker McFlurry-style ice cream mixed with Oreo cookie crumbles. It comes with McDonald’s a revamped McFlurry spoon that was introduced last year. The Shamrock Shake was first introduced back in 1970 and the McFlurry joined the menu in 2020.

Some fans were excited by the news but others were critical of the early release time and the possibility that the treats might not be available due to the inconsistent performance of many of the ice cream machines in McDonald’s locations. Nevertheless, they’re available now for a limited time only and there’s no official end date for the items so you should get them while you can.
