TARGET ANNOUNCES NEW PAID MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

Target is making changes to compete with Amazon and Walmart. The retailer has announced they’re adding a new paid membership program, Target Circle 360, that will be available starting April 7th.

The subscription tier is the paid version of their free loyalty program, Target Circle, which has been around since 2019. But Target is also relaunching that to make it more personalized for members. And the paid membership does come with some perks.

  • Target Circle 360 includes unlimited free same-day delivery for orders over $35, in as little as one hour.
  • It also includes free two-day shipping, and members get an extra 30 days to make a return.
  • But it’s not free. Target is offering a promotional rate of $49 a year until May 18th, after that it’ll cost $99 a year, but if you have a Target Circle credit card, the price will still be $49.

"It's less than $1 a week of the magic of Target delivered to your door," says Cara Sylvester, an executive vice president at Target who's the company's chief guest-experience officer. She points out that members could grab "everything from groceries to household essentials to the newest must-have item with no additional fees, no markups, and support from our preferred shoppers."
