Actions To Avoid When You’re Stressed Or Anxious

There are things that people automatically do when stressed that are making things worse. There are certain things therapists say to avoid for relieving stress, because they only harm. Try to skip these things when anxiety and stress are high:

  • ‘Binging’ On TV Or Shopping. They help avoid emotions, which come back stronger when the activity is done
  • Telling Yourself To Stop Thinking ‘Bad’ Thoughts
  • Asking Lots Of People For Their Opinions
  • Listening To White Noise
  • Saying ‘Yes’ To Additional Tasks As A Distraction
  • Ignoring The Stress Or Pretending It’s Not There
