“Phubbing” Can Torpedo Your Relationship

If you’re “phubbing” in bed, you’re hurting your relationship. Phubbing is a combination of the words phone and snubbing, and it’s when someone is ignoring you and paying more attention to their mobile device. Doing that in bed with your partner is not healthy, according to experts. In a recent survey, 70-percent of people said that cell phones “sometimes,” “often,” “very often” or “all the time” interfered in their interactions with their partners. Experts add that by focusing on your phone instead of your SO, there’s much less intimacy and resentment can creep in. Leave the phone on the nightstand and all should be well.
