Instagram Rolls Out Ads That Can’t Be Skipped

Instagram is testing out a new feature, ads that can't be skipped. The social media platform rolled out "ad breaks" recently which makes users watch an advertisement before they can continue browsing their feed. A spokesperson for Meta says the company is always looking at ways to "drive value for advertisers." The feature has been compared to the free version of YouTube where a commercial would come up in the middle of a video. It's unclear how long the company intends to test the feature.
