So… THIS Is The Best Time Of Day To Have Sex

You might not have noticed, but American couples are having less sex than they used to. A recent study finds that adults in the U.S. had sex about nine fewer times a year between 2010 and 2014 than in 1995 to 1999. And researchers say we’re actually doing it less often than our parents and grandparents did when they were our age.

The sexperts even have a name for this decline in bedroom action: “sex recession.” And while scientists aren’t exactly sure why it’s happening less often, let’s all remember that sometimes quality is more important than quantity and this is something we have a lot of control over. If we’re going to be doing it less often, we should at least be doing it the best we can, right? And it turns out, these are the best times to have sex.

First thing in the morning - Forget about eye crusties and morning breath for a sec and think about this: having sex in the morning starts your day off right. Doing it releases endorphins, those feel-good chemicals and a recent study finds that the most ideal time for sex is 7:30 a.m., or around 45 minutes after you wake up. It’s when most people feel most energetic and when hormone levels of estrogen and testosterone are at their peak, so take advantage of that biological boost.

At three in the afternoon - According to women’s hormone expert Alisa Vitti, 3 p.m. is the time men and women are most in tune with each other’s sexual and emotional desires. So that makes an afternoon meeting one of the best times for satisfaction. And since anything worth doing is worth doing well, this could be a great reason do duck out of work early one afternoon.
